HealingPointe Leadership

Eric and Amy Starkey – Pastors

Eric has been in ministry for over twelve years.  Before moving to Terre Haute in 2006 to plant HealingPointe, he served as associate pastor of a church plant in Hammond Louisiana.  Eric enjoys anything to do with computers, riding ATV’s, and getting to know new friends over  a cup of good coffee.

“When God called us to start HealingPointe, we made a decision to do our absolute best to utilize our ministry and life experiences to plant a church that could minister “life” to people, not just mere religion.”  My job as Pastor is to help people enter into an intimate relationship with God through His Son Jesus.

Amy is definitely not the typical pastor’s wife. Early in ministry, Amy was extremely shy and introverted but God miraculously transformed her and has given her a passion to help others. Her being married to Eric has made her ministry experiences just as vast as his. Amy also has a B.A. in Elementary Education with experience teaching in the public school system as well as a juvenile detention center. Amy enjoys Zumba, anything to do with interior design, shopping, hanging out with friends, and spending Eric’s money!

“God prepared us for over ten years to plant HealingPointe Community Church. We have served in just about every area imaginable in ministry; youth, adult classes, children’s ministry, areas of media and church information technology, even helping found a ministry at a juvenile detention center. God had been getting us ready for HealingPointe.”

Frank and Beth Sabelhaus – Worship Pastors

Frank and Beth Sabelhaus grew up in different parts of Indiana, but met each other as students at Indiana State University in Terre Haute. They got to know each other through the Campus Crusade for Christ worship band, and have been playing music together ever since. Shortly after they got married in 2001, Frank and Beth started serving at Crossroads Community Church in Sullivan, Indiana in the areas of youth and music. They led their own Christian band for a couple years, and then were a part of a local worship band, Thirsty. Through these ministries, they found a passion and calling for leading others in worship through music.

Frank graduated from ISU in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music. He currently works for the City of Terre Haute as a Systems Administrator and is working towards a Master’s Degree in Personal Evangelism and Church Planting from Liberty University. Frank loves recording music, playing drums, and a good home repair challenge.

Beth graduated from ISU in 2001 and has worked for various non-profit organizations. However, no job has compared to her current challenge of being a stay-at-home mom to their three children, Annabelle, Joey, and Jay! Beth loves volunteering at Ryves Youth Center, blogging, and kicking back with a good book.

The leadership of HealingPointe are committed to establishing a church where God is honored, His presence is welcomed, and people’s lives are genuinely transformed.
